(Why doesn't AT&T detect the same IMEI number across 4 different accounts?) Can anyone comment on this?Īlso I moved the SIM card from the Netgear LB1120 to a Netgear Nighthawk M1 hotspot (Gigabit Ethernet) and have gotten well over 100 Mbps at times. I found that all 4 of the devices are registered in the AT&T portal (for each account) with the same IMEI number! I do not know how this works, but it does. I believe that he was doing the same thing as others. I bought from a guy on eBay that was selling it for more than the others, thinking that I get what I pay for. I am using it at a commercial location for a customer where DSL/Cable is not available. I have never been throttled or de-prioritized. The IMEI should be on the tablet and the ICCID is the SIM card number. Make sure the IMEI is clean and you can go to the URL below to activate it and pay $34.99/month for unlimited data. If you wanted to save money, you can buy a used Samsung Tablet (not a phone, I wouldn't recommend it) from eBay that is supposed to work with AT&T (Not Verizon or etc.). I can see the AT&T tower from my house, so that helps. The 1120 has an Ethernet port! I get 50+ Mbps download and 25+ upload all day long. Since then I have moved the SIM cards over to a Netgear LB1120 and it works amazingly well. At one time I downloaded well over 1.5 TB of data off of one of those devices. I set up my own credit card and they have worked flawlessly since. Then he sent me the login information and I was able to change all 4 of them over to the different e-mail addresses I use. He charged me about $90 per 'activation' which included the first month of service. He responded within a few hours with a confirmation that the account has been set up. I sent him a payment and a picture of my SIM card that was included in the AT&T Velocity Hotspot that I bought from Best Buy for about $75. I bought 4 of these plans about 2 years ago from the same guy on eBay.
